Got my acceptance letter this morning for placing The Mudfish Goddess in the Outcast Anthology. According to what I received, the anthology will be launched at Conjure next Easter. It's taken a long time to find this story a home. I'm very glad for it.

The Mudfish Goddess revolved around Godi, a girl locked away in her village's isolation hut on the occasion of her first period. It was probably the first straight fantasy story I ever wrote. It probably still is the only straight fantasy story I ever wrote. This is also my first publication in a couple of years, so it really is gladdening to get out of a dry run.

Thank you! :)
I'd been wondering for so long if the story would find a home, really. It's been trying to root itself for probably as long as I've known you. Btw, Things That are True sounds like a wonderful little place. I have half a mind to write a story about hillocks now, I really do. And try and send it in before Nov 1. Y'know, send it in because it sounds like a lovely little place.

Oh, you should! You should! Dan sent something their way and it became his first published story in print. I say that because he write these lovely little pieces online in his journal and never holds them in his hands. And, truth to tell, your stories are beautiful. YOu should submit for both hillocks and sleeping in cars.

Ah, neat. I was inspired to write something about hillocks, let's see if I can finish it by the deadline. :)

Because it does look like a neat little mag.
